Why this matters

CRMLS issues citations and fines on first offense for photos with branding, watermarks, phone numbers, URLs, or "For Sale" signs. As of January 1, 2026, California AB 723 also requires any AI-modified or virtually-staged photo to carry a non-removable "Digitally Altered" watermark.
